Wendelbo Unveils the Kite Sofa and Kin Tables Collections
Wendelbo introduces two contemporary furniture collections that celebrate Scandinavian design through refined craftsmanship, sculptural forms, and timeless materials.
Designed by Jonas Wagell, the Kite Sofa combines a bold architectural silhouette with exceptional comfort. Its distinctive upholstered exterior is inspired by the geometric planes of a kite, creating a protective shell that embraces a soft and inviting interior. The result is a modular seating system with a quiet yet confident presence, suitable for both residential and hospitality settings.
The collection includes Modules 1, 2, and 9, available in the exclusive Wendelbo fabrics Roco and Tivoli. Selected configurations are also available with short lead times, offering greater flexibility for interior design projects.
Alongside the Kite Sofa, Wendelbo showcases the Kin Tables collection by British designer John Astbury. Comprising both side tables and coffee tables, the series explores the relationship between repetition, proportion, and sculptural simplicity. Each table features a pedestal base and a tabletop derived from the same geometric language, with subtle rotations that create visual contrast while maintaining a harmonious overall expression.
The Kin collection is available in a range of finishes, including light oak, black-stained oak, dark brown-stained oak, and a high-gloss burnt orange lacquer, allowing the pieces to complement a variety of contemporary interiors.
In addition to these collections, Wendelbo continues to highlight the Ridge modular sofa, available in Turn and Baru by Kvadrat upholstery. Characterized by its clean lines, generous proportions, and adaptable modular design, Ridge reflects the brand’s commitment to creating sophisticated furniture that combines comfort, functionality, and enduring aesthetic appeal.
